Prenatal Instructor

Are you passionate about working with expectant parents and guiding them along their journey of becoming parents? Do you want to empower clients and teach them valuable skills they can use for labour & delivery, postpartum, breastfeeding, and caring for their newborn?

We are looking for a knowledgeable, fun, and engaging Prenatal Instructor to join our team. Our instructors group classes online to clients across BC and private in-person classes in Vancouver (and surrounding areas) as well as other locations upon request. 

All of our instructors are expected to establish a successful, supportive, safe, and inclusive environment for a diverse client base with varying backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with active license in BC
• Experience working with childbearing clients
• Advanced preparation in Childbirth Education
• Completion of recognized teaching skills workshop
• Certification as a Childbirth Educator or willingness to obtain certification
• Advanced preparation in Breastfeeding or willingness to obtain further education
• Must keep current on issues and practice standards in childbirth preparation, newborns, and breastfeeding by participating in continuing education
• Ability to perform educational presentations both online and in-person
• Skilled in preparing and presenting course materials and evaluations
• Experience using various online educational and communication platforms preferred
